"I will walk for Peace"

Welcome to the Official Site of Rotary Peace Walk

"Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal."

- Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Voices for Peace

The Cause

Peace starts with me...and I will walk for Peace

Rotary International - a global service organization with more than 1 million members - is leading many worldwide initiatives to promote peace. In the Charlotte community, Charlotte North Rotary Club is bringing that awareness with the Rotary Peace Walk. Your tax-deductible contributions will empower us to do more and raise awareness for peace efforts. 100% of the funds raised by the Rotary Peace Walk will be utilized to support peace initiatives and charitable projects, locally and internationally.

Promoting Peace

Today, 42 million people are displaced by armed conflict or persecution. Through Rotary's partnerships with several leading universities, Rotary Peace Fellows develop the skills to strengthen peace efforts, train local leaders to prevent and mediate conflict, and support long-term peace building in areas affected by conflict. Rotary International provides up to 100 peace fellowships per year at Rotary Peace Centers.

  • In a conflict-ridden world, we need to effect changes at the grassroots level so that our future generations have a better appreciation for peace.
